North Ridge is a specialist support school for pupils with persistent and complex special educational needs, aged 11-19 years. We opened in September 2006. We are a fast developing school and have achieved Specialist School status in SEN Behaviour Emotional & Social Development. We are a good school with many areas of outstanding practice (Ofsted 2011).

Due to the promotion of the current post holder to a leadership position, the Governors seek to appoint a dynamic, hard working individual to this post, able to teach pupils with special educational needs. You will be responsible for a class of up to 12 pupils and you will teach your class several areas of the curriculum including Mathematics, English and PSHE.

You will have some experience as a middle manager, be an excellent teacher and have aspirations to develop your leadership skills further.You will be responsible for leading and managing the area of mathematics.A clear vision for shaping this area and commitment to team work are essential attributes.The successful applicant will benefit from working in a school with a positive, caring, ethos where team work is important and a supportive staff development and training programme is available.
