De Ferrers is an over-subscribed Academy on the rural outskirts of Burton upon Trent, within easy access of Birmingham, Nottingham and Derby. The Academy has a reputation for academic achievement, a positive ethos, excellent staff/student relationships and is committed to the personal and professional development of its staff. In recent years, the Academy has developed a national reputation for innovation and success in using Learning technologies and ICT. The Academy is an Apple Regional Training Centre, with 1:1 use of iPads across KS4 and KS5. Last year, students at de Ferrers achieved record results at GCSE Mathematics with 8 out of 10 students achieving a grade A*-C.

Due to the continued excellent performance of our Mathematics Faculty, we are looking to appoint an inspiring and outstanding practitioner to lead on teaching and learning both in the Mathematics Faculty and across the Academy by supporting the professional development of teaching staff. The successful candidate must also have a proven track record teaching at Key Stage 5.

The Faculty is very well resourced and prides itself on a strong record of success and this role offers an exceptional opportunity to move teaching and learning forward, working within a strong team of committed staff.
