We are a large mixed gender school with Academy status situated in Calderdale, neighboured by the towns of Brighouse and Elland in the heart of West Yorkshire, close to Junction 25 of the M62 meaning we are just 25 minutes from Leeds and only 35 minutes from Manchester. Our large, vibrant and oversubscribed school has over 1450 students (240 of which are in our Sixth form) and we employ over 200 staff. If successful, you will be joining a high performing school. Students ability level on entry is above the national average as is the percentage of 'high attaining' students. The number of students in the sixth form is growing year on year, as is their average point score. The school recorded its highest ever GCSE and post 16 results in 2014, placing us at the top of the local authority in several key areas and significantly above the 2013 national headline measures.

We require a leader who will inspire, challenge and support teachers' in Mathematics and practitioners across the whole school. The role will enable the successful applicant to shape the school's teaching and learning strategy alongside the Lead Teacher Team under the guidance of the Assistant Headteacher. You will also deliver whole staff training, small group and one to one coaching. A passion for Mathematics, a willingness to learn and a proven record in delivering at least good teaching is essential.
