Job overview

We are seeking to appoint an inspirational Maths specialist who will join our Mathematics Department as a Lead Teacher. This is a newly created post and offers you the chance to join our hardworking and dedicated mathematics department.

This is an exciting opportunity for an excellent practitioner with a passion and drive to excel in your field and capable of delivering inspirational lessons to our students. It will also give the successful candidate the chance to become part of the Teaching and Learning team, helping to move the school forward and develop our staff.

Royds School is a secondary community school for girls and boys aged between 11 and 16. It is a non-denominational establishment, situated in the town of Oulton, in Leeds, West Yorkshire.

Values and Vision

Royds School values students who have respect for others, who are resilient and those who take responsibility for their actions. The school believes no child should be stopped from having an excellent education and everyone can have great achievement. Children should try their best to achieve outstanding results. Students are encouraged to take part in enrichment activities. These can range from several sporting clubs, including gymnastics, basketball, netball, cricket, football and rugby. In the past, pupils have competed in the Olympics.
