Values and vision

The Grange School aims to provide pupils with a world class education, regardless of the age at which they join the school. Its vision is to become “the best ‘all through’ school in the country”, and its slogan is: One School One Vision.

The school offers what it calls “life enhancing experiences” for pupils, which it hopes will ignite their curiosity, and give them a platform to pursue their aspirations. The school also works with lovlal universities and businesses, which it sees as an important part of what the school does to develop young people.

The Grange names student leadership as something it feels is very important. The school strongly encourages learners to apply for roles as leaders or ambassadors, and  to help support and guide their peers.

Ofsted

“In a short period of time, the headteacher, deputy headteachers and governors have galvanised the staff and brought about significant improvements to teaching, learning and pupils’ outcomes."

“Teaching, learning and pupils’ outcomes in the primary phase are consistently good...There is now a real sense of unity across the primary and secondary phases and good practice is shared regularly. Transition arrangements are exemplary.”
