We are looking to appoint a temporary Learning Mentor for an immediate start.
The role will involve being able to help a learner on a one-to-one basis outside the classroom and possibly in the classroom, if the need arises.
The applicant will need to be able to help the learner in accessing the school curriculum by pre-teaching materials at A-Level that will then be covered in each lesson.
Furthermore, the person appointed will need to be able to implement strategies and support the learner's self-esteem and confidence building activities. They will listen to and help the learner resolve a range of issues that may be presenting a barrier to learning and in the school environment.
This post could easily suit an existing Teaching Assistant or an NQT.
