We wish to appoint a Reception/Year 1 Learning Support Assistant for 1:1 support. This would be specifically in the areas of; speech and language, key learning skills [phonics and number], fine and gross motor skills and essential everyday behaviours e.g. dressing

We are looking for a learning support assistant who would be equally as committed and dedicated to improving outcomes for all our pupils.

The successful candidate will:

  • enjoy working with children with Special Needs and be passionate about learning for all children and have the necessary skills, knowledge, and attitude to support the learning of children with significant needs
  • be able to engage, enthuse, motivate children to make the best progress they can
  • work successfully as part of a team, accepting and acting upon advice and being proactive and adaptable where appropriate.

We would prefer applicants with at least an NVQ level2 qualification and level 1 training in Makaton and/or Pecs.

Experience in working with children with Special Needs would also be preferable.
