Are you committed to helping children thrive and learn?
Are you resourceful, motivated and willing to learn?
Do you believe that you can make a difference to a vulnerable child?
If you've answered 'Yes' then please apply for our job, supporting a Year 4 child who has recently been given an Education, Health and Care Plan (previously known as a statement). You will work closely with him, helping him with his learning and social integration - and in return you will build a special bond with him. You will also be a key point of contact for his family.
You will be part of a fantastic team of staff at MPL school, all of whom are equally committed to children doing their best.
The contract is fixed term and is dependent on his continued attendance at the school.
I would like to extend a very warm welcome to you as a prospective applicant for a job at MPL. If you haven't visited our school yet, please do so as we are extremely proud of the children here and the interesting and creative work that they do. I would be delighted to show you round the school and let the children speak for themselves!
Our aim is to provide all of our children with the highest possible quality learning that builds on the foundations laid down with them by their parents in their earliest years. We value excellent academic achievement as well as children's learning in other areas - we also have an excellent track record in sporting achievements.
We want children to be excited about their learning and we work closely with parents to make sure this happens. We strive to make sure that our children achieve their potential and, in addition, are equipped with the skills they need to thrive and enjoy learning throughout their lives. In order to achieve these outcomes, we have taken an innovative approach to learning to learn and use a creative approach to curriculum planning.
MPL is a community school with a Published Admission Number of 45 that caters for children of all abilities and backgrounds, in line with the expectations of the National Curriculum. As a community school, we serve every member of the community and we celebrate the diversity that exists amongst our children and families. In our most recent OfSTED inspection (Feb 2012) the school was judged as 'good' in all areas. We were pleased and proud of that outcome and are now aiming for even better. We welcome applications from candidates who are committed to helping us achieve that goal.
We are confident that if you are successful in applying to work at MPL, your time with us will be enjoyable and satisfying. We look forward to hearing from you soon!
