Part Time, Fixed Term

Learning Support Assistants (2 posts)

28.75 hpw, term time only, fixed term contracts commencing September 2014.

Post 1: Fixed term for one year
Post 2: Fixed term for two terms (maternity cover).

You will need practical knowledge of literacy and/or numeracy subject matter in order to support pupils in a variety of lessons and learning environments. Experience in intervention would be advantageous, but is not essential.

About Sir John Leman High School

Sir John Leman High School is a co-educational 11–18 secondary school with academy status serving part of the Waveney region in north Suffolk. The pupil roll is around 1,400, with some 160 of these students moving on to the school’s sixth form.

Sir John Leman High School was established in 1631. It has been on its present site for over 100 years. In 1914 the school became the County mixed grammar school and in 1971 a comprehensive high school. In recent years building work has gone on to expand the school and improve its facilities.

The school’s sixth form offers a wide choice of 30 advanced level courses, and a range of different routes for those on a one-year programme of study.
