The International School of Moscow (ISM) was established in April 2007 at the Krilatskoe campus in the north-west of Moscow, and is one of ten schools in The British Schools Foundation (BSF) network of schools.  Initially an infant school, it has now grown to incorporate EYFS, Primary, Secondary School and Sixth Form.

ISM Rosinka offers the English National Curriculum in an international context. While following the structure of the ENC as a minimum expectation, much of our learning is adapted to reflect the school’s international context.  Our children are bright, motivated and talented individuals from local as well as international backgrounds and our curriculum reflects this.  All of our students study Russian as part of the curriculum and enjoy specialist lessons in PE and Music throughout the school.

The school will be set over two sites (adjacent to each other) incorporating separate buildings for the Early Years Foundation Stage and Primary / Middle School (initially Years 1 - 7).

First time visitors to our Krilatskoe campus often comment on the friendly and welcoming atmosphere that our community has established and we are confident of emulating this at Rosinka. We believe strongly that all members of the ISM community should enjoy positive relationships. Our philosophy is to ensure that each campus remains intimately sized in order to promote a family-orientated, personalised approach to education.

This philosophy is echoed throughout our growing network of schools in Europe, South America and Asia (The British Schools Foundation). While each school is organised appropriately to reflect the context in which it is set, our group does share a common ethos.  We believe in the personal development of all pupils alongside academic excellence. We offer a breadth of experience for all and a strong sense of community and citizenship with the overriding aim of providing a World Class Education to all students attending the school.

ISM recently completed an extremely second successful ISI inspection that identified all aspects of the school to be excellent, enabling us to maintain executive membership of COBIS.  Though the Krilatskoe campus is highly selective, the moral imperative to provide education to students who attended the Rosinka school prior to its acquisition by ISM means that practitioners will require a strong learning as well as performance orientation. The mission of the Rosinka academic staff will be to create a school that ultimately reflects the same high pastoral and academic standards of the established Krilatskoe campus, requiring highly skilled practitioners possessing the ability to differentiate for a range of abilities as well as levels of English proficiency.

ISM believes strongly that ICT should be central to our teaching and learning. Provision is via Apple Mac technology throughout the school.  All classes enjoy wireless connection and Interactive Whiteboard Technology. While there is a dedicated ICT suite on both campuses, it is our intention for mobile devices (including iPADS and notebooks) to become increasingly embedded into the daily curriculum, eventually making a separate ICT suite obsolete.

Our staff work very hard but are well rewarded personally, professionally and financially. As a result, many of our teachers gain a strong affinity for the school and find it hard to leave. Many that do leave, choose to stay within our network of schools and several have enjoyed promotions within the BSF group.

The International School of Moscow is an exciting and enriching place to work and looks forward to greeting new members of staff who have the skills, energy and enthusiasm to thrive in the positive environment that we offer.
