Lecturers - Aeronautical Engineering

As Lecturer in Aeronautical Engineering, you will be directly involved in the delivery and management of student learning within the School, assisting in the development and delivery of related Further and Higher Education programmes.

Whilst being fully conversant with course regulations and specifications for the defined area thus ensuring conformity and best practice, you will assist with securing quality improvement within the School as well as assisting with monitoring student recruitment, retention and achievement and taking remedial action where necessary.

You will use effectively the systems used in College (electronic or otherwise) to ensure student success, i.e. e-tracker, Moodle, internal verification etc. and will be responsible for meeting recruitment targets including participation in interviews, Open Days and specific curriculum events.

The successful candidate will possess a recognised teaching qualification (minimum level 5) or will be willing to commence within 1 year of appointment and will hold GCSE at grade C or above in English and Maths or be willing to commence within 2 years of appointment. You will possess an appropriate degree and a subject specialist qualification at Level 4 or above.

With industrial/commercial experience, you will be able to respond to a range of learning styles and will have the ability to communicate in all forms clearly, succinctly, and in a timely manner. In addition, you will have the ability to develop learning resources to support the curriculum and will be able to demonstrate skills in meeting a range of targets related to College priorities e.g. recruitment, retention and attendance etc.
