The Person

The duties of a Lecturer within the Creative Industries Section include:

  • Teaching lessons and underpinning knowledge to students
  • 1st line guidance, discipline and learning support
  • Helping students achieve their awards
  • Planning lessons and monitoring progress
  • Developing and updating course materials

We are looking for applications which can demonstrate the following:

  • Professional background in knitted textiles
  • Relevant degree, technical and in-depth theoretical knowledge of Textile Design
  • Excellent communication skills, flair and creativity
  • Ability to deliver and develop taught courses to a variety of people with different levels of ability.
  • Proven ICT skills

Additional Information

  • Preferred candidates will be required to join the Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme (Children) or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of appointment being made.
  • A Relocation package does not apply to this post.
  • We will pay interview expenses from within the UK.
  • Temporary Full Time post for 40 weeks per year.
  • Temporary post for a period of approximately 12 months.
  • Not suitable for remote working.
  • Applicants must complete a Criminal Convictions Declaration Form.
