For all vacancies we are looking for motivated, learner-centred and outstanding teachers, who can inspire students, have a flexible and creative approach to their work and foster the development of excellent technical learning and entrepreneurial skills.

For Curriculum Manager and Curriculum Team Leader vacancies you should have leadership and management experience in education or industry and possess excellent teaching, communication and people skills, as you will be required to lead and manage the student experience, the curriculum area, and a committed team of teachers and assessors. You will also be expected to participate in leadership and management development to enhance your own skill set.

English & Maths (various positions)
You will be able to teach Maths or English, specialising in either Functional Skills (all levels) or GCSE. You will be based within one of our vocational areas and will work closely with the other members of the curriculum team to ensure Maths and English are embedded across learning programmes within the area.

Ideally, you will be familiar with government policies on Maths & English and conversant with Functional Skills and GCSE syllabuses and specifications. You will also need to be flexible and willing to work at least one evening a week.

Located in the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham, Barking and Dagenham College is a large further education college providing qualifications and work skills to learners aged 14 and over. The college has seen extensive redevelopment and modernisation since its founding, and as a result can boast of a wide range of different teaching and recreational facilities. The college also works closely with external providers and business partners, in order to provide some teaching and work-experience off-site for students who require it.

Barking and Dagenham College offers a huge range of courses for learners of every kind, young and old, full and part-time. Of particular importance are courses aimed at 16-18 school-leavers, with a number of A-level and BTEC courses being run by the college, as well as foundation degrees for students looking to go into higher education. The college itself does actually offer a limited number of higher education degree courses, with students able to take advantage of the college's location and flexible financial offerings.
