In June 2013, Stourbridge College merged with Birmingham Metropolitan College and now the College enrols around 35,000 students each year including its secondary school; Harborne Academy.

Birmingham Metropolitan College (BMETC) is one of the largest further education colleges in the UK providing a wide range of education and training programmes across the West Midlands and the UK.

It has a turnover of nearly £100 million and works with organisations such as BMW, BritVic, Caterpillar, IBM, Jaguar Land Rover and Network Rail to deliver training, apprenticeships and wider education services.

Lecturer - Medical and Life Sciences

Expansion of the Faculty requires the appointment of a professionally qualified Lecturer to work with the Assistant Director in developing and promoting the new programmes aimed at supporting the demands from employers to recruit a workforce suitably qualified to meet the needs of new job roles within the NHS and Private Sector as part of the government scheme - Modernising Scientific Careers.
