Level 1 Teaching Assistant

27.5 hrs per week

We are a single form entry school in a semi rural setting on the edge of Otley, West Yorkshire. We are on an exciting journey of rapid improvement and seek to appoint enthusiastic, forward thinking and dedicated support staff to join our friendly and committed team.

Five days working in KS2 classes supporting teaching and learning both in class and with small groups.

The successful candidate will:

• Be a team player who is committed to the aims and ethos of our school
• Have successful experience in supporting learning under the direction of the SENCo and/ or class teacher
• Be flexible and confident in supporting children's learning in a classroom setting
• Have a positive, consistent approach to behaviour management in and out of the classroom
• Be able to work under supervision and also use their own initiative
• Have an understanding of the primary school curriculum or EYFS curriculum as appropriate
• Have a good level of skill in maths, English and IT

Appropriate training and support will be provided to the successful candidate.
