Level 2 Teaching Assistant

Fixed term, Term time only

LEVEL 2 TEACHING ASSISTANT - Required as soon as possible (Fixed term contract until July 2015).

We aim to extend this post into 2015 - 2016 as long as additional government funding remains in place)

8 HOURS PER WEEK (initially 4 mornings a week but this may be extended in the future to 5 mornings per week, 10 hours)

A vacancy exists in our school to provide 1:1 support for a child in our Year 2 class who struggles to concentrate for extended periods of time.

The person appointed will:

• Have experience of working with children with special educational needs
• Be willing to undertake training in relation to the child in question
• Be a team player
• Have a sensitive but enthusiastic approach
• Have experience of implementing programmes of learning to speed up academic progress

Experience of the following would also be advantageous:

• Understanding of working with children who have difficulty concentrating for extended periods of time.
• Experience of working at both key stage 1 and 2
