About ISR Internationale Schule am Rhein in Neuss

Founded in 2003, ISR is a full day, non-profit private school in the Dusseldorf/Neuss/Cologne region. ISR provides a top-quality, international education in the English language in a bilingual/multilingual school environment. The full-day academic program for students from Kindergarten through Grade 12 takes place at the purpose-built campus situated in the heart of Neuss.

Powered by SABIS®, ISR offers an outstanding academic program, individual support for students, a varied extra-curricular program and a bilingual/multilingual school environment. ISR is a licensee of the SABIS® Educational System, a unique approach to teaching which started in 1886 and has developed into a rigorous, internationally-oriented, non-selective, college-preparatory education system.

ISR students achieve excellent IB scores and the internationally recognized diplomas qualify students for entry to top universities worldwide, including Germany.

We ensure cultural diversity in our student body and our teaching staff. This diversity enables students to gain important experiences by mingling with children and adults from numerous nations and cultures. Equally, we aim to integrate foreign students into the German culture and society and support them in this country that is alien to them: For this reason, all our students take intensive lessons in the German language. This concept allows the ISR to achieve one of its most important goals: We want to accompany students on the way to develop a better understanding for the people of the world, combined with respect for cultural differences, but also an awareness for common characteristics.

ISR is recognized by the state of North Rhine-Westphalia as an international supplementary school (“anerkannte internationale Ergänzungsschule”).

ISR is an accredited member of

  • AdvancED (formerly “NCA CASI--North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement”)
  • Ai-Accreditation International
  • Council of International Schools (CIS)
  • European Council of International Schools (ECIS)

ISR is also a Cambridge Examination Centre, an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School, and conducts College Board PSAT, SAT, and AP (Advanced Placement) exams on site.
