Brackenfield School's new leadership team is excited to offer the opportunity for an Outstanding Teacher to take on the role of:

  • Literacy Across the Curriculum Lead (LiAC Lead)
  • English Subject Lead
  • MPG/UPS + TLR2 + 1SEN Point

We are looking for an inspirational teacher who is enthusiastic and skilled in the classroom with a clear vision for Literacy and English for 3-16yr olds with Learning Difficulties and associated behavioural needs.

The successful applicant will have responsibility for leading Literacy Across the Curriculum, within this role they will lead and advise all other curriculum staff on how to support our core purpose of developing functionally literate young adults.

In the first instance the successful applicant will teach English/Literacy in the Secondary Phase, however due to the learning needs of our population (P3ii- NCL3) this post will also suit a primary practitioner or secondary practitioner with SEN experience.

Experience of augmented communication systems is desirable.
