Managing Director - new venture

Having been awarded Teaching School status, the new teaching school venture will provide initial teacher training for aspiring teachers, continuing professional development for existing teachers, together with a variety of school-to-school support services.

It will be your job to develop and lead the teaching school at a strategic and operational level.  You will play a key role in defining and developing the strategy, ensuring it is commercially self sustaining. You will take overall responsibility for driving and implementing first class operational processes and training delivery whilst ensuring compliance with critical aspects of policy and legislation; you will promote the new organisation externally to a wide variety of audiences and customers. Supported by a talented and passionate team who will provide the educational expertise, you will transform their passion, outstanding experience and ideas into commercial reality.

As Managing Director of the teaching school, excellent communication and relationships with other headteachers are vital; these will need to be established and nurtured. There is a large team of 'back office' workers, as well as educationalists, with expertise to support your work, and you yourself will need a broad range of leadership skills and attributes, including marketing and researching funding opportunities. It will be your entrepreneurial drive, business partnering capability, and relentless results driven attitude that will really set you apart.

This is an initial two year contract.  Long term prospects will be created by you; it is anticipated the right person will create a highly successful, self-sustaining business.
