The Dormston School is a LA Community School based in Sedgley in the West Midlands. We are looking for outstanding and ambitious applicants to join our team of highly motivated staff. We are committed to providing the highest academic standards which challenge pupils to achieve their very best whilst ensuring a school culture that is caring and positive with the highest quality facilities.

Required for Easter 2015 or sooner, we are looking for a suitably qualified Maths Teacher to work across the age and ability range within a successful, forward thinking, and highly motivated Maths Department with the additional responsibility of being 2nd in Maths.

The Maths Department is at an exciting point in its development. It is already rapidly improving and now requires new Leadership to help it become outstanding.

The successful candidate should be creative and willing to work as part of a strong team of Mathematics specialist. This is an ideal position for any candidate who is ambitious and keen to progress in their career.

The Dormston School is a mixed, comprehensive, non-denominational secondary school without sixth form, situated in Sedgley, near Dudley in the West Midlands. It is a community state school. A larger than average secondary school, Dormston provides 1,120 places for students aged 11-16.

The Dormston School was established in 1935. It has undergone a number of renovations and additions over the years, including a £4 million arts and sports centre, which opened in 1996 and was funded by the National Lottery. The Dormston Centre, a building that joins on to the school and contains a theatre, sports hall, art gallery and gymnasium, was built in 2000. Our newest block was built in 2017 providing an additional 5 classrooms to our site.
