We are an academy primary school, part of the growing Inspiration Trust.
Norwich Primary Academy is situated on the Larkman Estate to the west of Norwich.
NPA is a rapidly improving school, looking for staff who want to be part of the journey with an aim to provide an outstanding academic education, coupled with excellent pastoral support to ensure all children can achieve their true potential. All children can achieve great things.
You will need:
- Ability to be relentlessly positive to support children with challenging behaviour to change
- Ability to develop warm relationships with children who have experienced trauma or who struggle to cope with school life
- Solution focused approach to work with groups of children who are unkind to each other
- Zero acceptance of bullying and the ability to resolve situations where this is the case
- Ability to work with parents/families (some of whom are hard to reach and/or have personally negative experiences of education) to find ways for their children to succeed in school
- Skills to be able to be lead professional for some family support plans, liaising with outside agencies
- Willingness to develop own competencies and skills
- Excellent team working mentality
- Good computer skills and ability to learn to use new systems
- Good literacy skills, able to write reports on behalf of the school for other agencies.
This role is part of the pastoral team in the school, managed by the Behaviour/Safeguarding Lead.
