Brays School is a highly successful award winning teaching school, currently catering for 138 pupils between two and eleven years of age, whose special educational needs stem from a wide variety of physical, complex medical and multiple difficulties including hearing and/or visual impairment and severe, compound or complex learning difficulties. Brays School enjoys strong partnerships with parents/carers, local schools, professional bodies and the Local Authority. Brays School has two sites in Birmingham. We would particularly welcome applicants with practical expertise in the following areas, profound and multiple difficulties, sensory impairment and autistic spectrum conditions.

Brays is committed to providing continuous professional development for all staff and would provide valuable experience to staff wishing to strengthen their understanding of inclusion, delivery of an access curriculum and understanding of multidisciplinary working.

We are seeking to appoint a Teacher to lead our Thematics Faculty and assist in the leadership and management of teaching and learning throughout the school as well as having particular responsibility for Science, Educational Visits (EVC), History and Geography. We would particularly welcome applications from experience and outstanding teachers with proven leadership experience and core subject knowledge of the subjects indicated, particularly science. Educational Visits (EVC) training will be provided.
