Job overview
For some professionals, giving children the best start in life isn't just a job, it's a passion
At the London Borough of Barnet, we believe every child has the right to the highest standards of education. We're committed to making sure that children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities and their families receive the finest levels of advice and support. That's why we're now recruiting for six new members of staff to join our dedicated multidisciplinary team.
Providing skills training in mobility, rehabilitation and independence to young people with a visual impairment (including some children with multiple disabilities), in this stimulating role you assess their needs and devise an appropriate programme that will be implemented at home and at school. Working with children of all ages, you will have a diploma in Rehabilitation Studies or equivalent, and relevant experience of delivering mobility, orientation and independence training.
The above role offers the chance to be part of something really unique. We'll reward your hard work with a generous benefits package and support your career ambitions to our full capabilities, just as you'll be supporting the future of Barnet's children. So contact us today and join a team that's constantly striving towards the achievable ideal that every young person deserves a fair start in life.
