Music Specialist

Alleyn's is a thriving, oversubscribed, selective, co-educational school for children from 4+ to 18 years. The Junior School shares the same site as the Senior School and is a member of the IAPS and caters for children from 4+ to 11 years. The Junior School is looking for an enthusiastic music teacher to work with the Director of Music for 4 days a week.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified and enthusiastic music teachers. This post could suit someone recently or newly qualified. AJS enjoys a purpose built music room and studio and shares the music school and peripatetic staff with the senior school.

The ideal candidate will have strong keyboard skills and should be proficient in the use of IT and music software.The school runs a strings scheme in the lower part of the school and a brass and woodwind scheme in Year 5. Through personal specialism, the ability to nurture and develop either of these schemes may be advantageous. All teachers at AJS contribute fully to the pastoral welfare, academic development and co-curriculum.
