Are you looking to forge a teaching career within a pioneering and values-driven family of schools? Do you want to belong to a national professional learning community, with opportunities for growth, development and career progression? Are you driven to enable all children to succeed?

Woodside Primary Academy is recruiting NQTs as we look to expand to a full six forms of entry. The school intends to change the face of classroom teaching by having two teachers in every class. Woodside is a highly professional environment where pedagogical development is a daily experience. Our new structure is aimed at developing an academy that will be outstanding in the next 18 months.

Our innovative leadership team aims to recruit the most committed and ambitious NQTs to join us in driving the school to its goal of outstanding education for all pupils. The new leadership team has led the school from 'Inadequate' May 2013 to 'RI' in December 2013 (REAch2 full inspection) to now SEF rated 'Good' February 2014.

We offer:

  • 1 day PPA per week.
  • Coaching and mentoring on a daily basis as you will share a class with a mentor/coach.
  • Excellent NQTs development experience - (eight NQTs in September 2013 - 90% Good+ February).
  • Being part of an academy on a rapid journey to outstanding.
  • Direct path into senior leadership within the REach2 family of schools.

Woodside Primary Academy is a member of the REAch2 Trust, a national family of primary academies committed to raising standards and achieving excellence for all pupils, whatever their background or circumstance. Teachers within REAch2 belong to a national community of professionals, and benefit from a wide range of networks and development opportunities across the Trust. In time, our best teachers are able to work across schools, develop specialisms and step up to leadership roles within and beyond their own academy. The Trust provides a strong culture of collaboration and support, together with high expectations for staff and pupils alike.

This is a rare and exciting opportunity for excellent and committed teachers to join us on a remarkable journey and contribute to achieving our vision to ensure that all children reach their full potential.
