Job overview
The Warren School is looking to recruit a highly numerate individual (preferably graduate but not essential) for an initial one year contract to take on the role of Numeracy Development Teaching Assistant.
We will offer you the opportunity to work with young people to raise their numeracy through coaching, support and mentoring. Training will be given. Experience working in the school environment, either primary or secondary would be an advantage.
Role Purpose:
To work with teachers and other members of the school to raise the numeracy levels of a target group of students. To play a major role in delivering highly effective and targeted numeracy support to promote pupil progress. To be aware of the challenges facing students who are working at a low level and be proactive and driven in order to raise student's life chances.
