Stirling lies in the heart of central Scotland. And we're at the heart of life here.  Every day we provide a wide range of services essential to enhancing the quality of life of people living in or visiting the area. We aim to ensure that the old and young are cared for; to provide support for those in need; to educate our young people and enhance cultural and sporting opportunities for all. We're committed to delivering quality services at the heart of our communities.

Clackmannanshire is Scotland in miniature - magnificent scenery, a turbulent history and welcoming people. We may be the smallest mainland county in Scotland, but we have some big ambitions. We aim to deliver the best services possible to the 49,000 people we serve. We aim to be innovative and to work in partnership with other organisations to achieve our goals.

In the last two years, significant progress has been made in creating a shared education service and there are ambitious plans to develop integration.  The rationale of the shared delivery of education services is to improve the performance of the education service in order to deliver better outcomes for all children and young people in Stirling and Clackmannanshire councils.  The capacity of the joint education team to improve performance has been strengthened by pooling expertise and experience from a wider team and by working differently with schools and nurseries.
