Thuringia International School (ThIS) in central Germany seeks a Physical Education (PE) teacher to work with students age 10-16 from December 1, 2014.

ThIS is set in the beautiful town of Weimar and provides an international experience for 270 children of expatriates as well as host country nationals. The school offers the International Baccalaureate DP and PYP and Cambridge IGCSE, although PE is not taught as an exam subject. The school has excellent teaching facilities including a purpose-built gym.

We wish to recruit an experienced, enthusiastic, and dynamic specialist in PE to cover a maternity leave. The position begins on December 1, 2014, and lasts until either June 30 or December 17, 2015, according to requirements. The compensation package will include travel to and from Weimar and full support in finding accommodation. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate a commitment to international values, an ability to work in a flexible and collaborative manner, and good inter-personal skills. A willingness to work closely with teachers and to support school events are essential.
