You will teach upper strings instruments and music curriculum elements to pupils in whole class and groups of 3 or more pupils. Leading group music making activities, and assess and report on the progress made by learners, using these assessments to support future progress and attainment of learners.

You will be an inspirational and enthusiastic music educator with a demonstrable commitment to access and participation for all who will encourage all pupils to enrich their education and gain enjoyment from music making. You will benefit from the Luton Music Service comprehensive staff development programme.

You will be a highly effective ambassador for the Luton Music Service and 'The MIX' (The Luton Music Education Hub) with a passion for widening access to music for all children, a proven track record of excellence, a vision for inspiring more young people to learn an instrument and the ability to motivate young people to achieve their potential.

You will have experience of teaching upper strings in a range of group settings and will be able to communicate effectively with pupils, parents and staff. You must be able to travel across the borough and should be prepared to work outside normal office and school hours.
