Nottingham College is a further education college located in Nottingham. The college was established in 2017 following the merger of New College Nottingham and Central College. As a result of this, the college today exists across multiple campuses and accounts for a large number of students, over 8000 in total. The college has undergone extensive modernisation and redevelopment over the years, and as a result can boast of a wide range of teaching and recreational facilities across its campuses, including numerous dedicated teaching centres for a range of practical and vocational subjects.

Values and Vision

Nottingham College is able to offer a huge range of courses for younger school-leavers. This include the usual A-levels and BTECs, but also numerous foundation degrees. As well as this, Nottingham College is unusual in offering higher education degrees, in which students can acquire university-level qualifications whilst taking advantage of the lower tuition fees on offer at the college. Nottingham College also has options for part-time study, in order to facilitate older learners looking to work jobs whilst attending the college.

Ofsted

“Learners benefit from good physical resources to support their learning effectively. They develop new skills well on vocational programmes in realistic work environments such as the training restaurant or hair salon, in which activities closely match many of the features and demands of the workplace.”
