Minimum of 37 hours per week (operating over a shift pattern of attendance as necessary), Plus call out rota when introduced for which an additional payment will be made. A rotating shift pattern is currently in operation, which generally comprises an early shift (06:00 to 14:30), and an evening shift (14:30 to 23:00). A day shift (08:00 - 16:30) may be put in operation dependant on business needs. Some weekend work is required which will attract overtime payment or time off in lieu. Shift patterns may change to suit the business needs of the College or the team, in particular when site work is conducted out of term time.

You will be required to work Saturdays on a rota basis, a day off can be taken in lieu of the Saturday worked which will be agreed Job share will be considered.

This job is to provide support and manpower to ensure the College's sites are ready for use by staff, students and visitors. This involves ensuring that the Estate is in a good state of repair, buildings are locked / unlocked at the appropriate times and rooms are set out as required and to provide high visibility security presence, to ensure our customers and staff are in an environment that is as safe as reasonably possible. You will assist the Estates Co-ordinator and in his role: this will consist of: To carry out all small building fabric repairs. To carry out a college wide decoration programme. To gather and forward any relevant information that will assist the Estates department to provide the best possible service to the department's customers through effective reporting of problems and taking a proactive rather than reactive approach to Estate issues.

Northampton College is a mixed, non-selective, non-denominational further education college situated in Northamptonshire. It is a 16-plus institution with three campuses: a major building at its main Northampton site, a smaller campus near the town centre and another 20 miles away in Daventry. It provides places for around 9,000 students aged 16 and over, most of whom are full-time and aged 16-18.

Northampton College was opened in 1973. It merged with Daventry Tertiary College to expand its Daventry campus in August 2004, and its Booth Lane campus reopened after a large redevelopment in 2012.
