Primary Physical Education Teachers in United Arab Emirates

The British International School Abu Dhabi is looking for outstanding Primary Physical Education teachers with the ability to inspire, challenge and support our students across all age ranges to take the risks that are intrinsic to high performance learning.

The British International School is a highly successful, growing school with a committed and motivating team of teaching professionals at its heart.  Our close knit and supportive team is proud of our school and community, educating over 1250 young people of more than 60 nationalities each year. This role will mean belonging to a team of Physical Education staff who deliver the curriculum from EYFS through to Year 13. However the successful candidate will primarily teach 3-11 year olds.

To deliver our high standard of educational excellence, our teachers at The British International School Abu Dhabi are experienced, confident, well organised, have a good sense of humour and participate fully in all aspects of school life within and beyond the classroom.  We are now looking for like-minded teaching professionals to join the team, who can support the teaching within the curriculum alongside a commitment to running school teams after school hours.

As a qualified Physical Education teacher you will have experience of delivering the UK curriculum including the teaching of swimming, be committed to developing individualised approaches to learning and experienced in the latest assessment methods. You will also be able to offer a range of high level coaching to sports teams of all ages.

As a member of the Nord Anglia Education family of schools, joining the team at The British International School means you will be a part of networked global team where ideas, learning and best practice are shared between 14 schools worldwide.  This vibrant cross boarder exchange and collaboration is encouraged and supported at the teaching as well as the student level - at a Nord Anglia Education school, learning and development is prized across the whole school community.

In return for your passion in delivering a quality education, we offer you a competitive tax free salary, accommodation, annual flight allowance,  healthcare and up to two school places for your children.  Additionally we offer security and the opportunities that are inherent in a high quality global organisation dedicated to education and helping others to be the best they can be.

If you'd like to be a part of our school community - and have the right blend of experience, creativity, organisation, passion and flair - then please get in touch: we look forward to hearing from you.

We’re proud to be the only Abu Dhabi International School that has achieved an Outstanding rating in the past year for both the ADEK (Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge) Inspection as well as the recent National Identity Mark Inspection. Only 11 out of 197 Abu Dhabi based International schools have been awarded an outstanding rating by ADEK. Furthermore, BIS Abu Dhabi was the only international school awarded Outstanding at the National Identity Inspection where schools were inspected along the strands of culture (Arabic language, History and Heritage), values (Respect, Compassion, Global understanding, and citizenship (Belonging, Volunteering, Conservation).

Personalised learning experiences nurture our students’ growth, while unique opportunities – including collaborations with MIT, UNICEF, and The Juilliard School – cultivate creativity and critical thinking.
