Epic CIC is a newly created community interest company established to deliver youth support services in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. We provide a range of services to young people including schools, youth centres; sports activities; careers guidance; health support; arts and cultural activities and services designed to prevent youth crime.

EPIC Sport, formerly known as the Youth and School Sports Development team of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, is currently working closely with our local Primary schools to support and deliver high quality Physical Education. Local Primary Schools have commissioned EPIC to support them with the delivery of their Physical Education provision.

Our team is currently recruiting for a Physical Education teacher to join our team to teach in these schools. Applicants must hold QTS, should be an experienced teacher with a specialism in Physical Education and have a proven track record of strong classroom practice.

Main purpose of the role:

  • To support and deliver Physical Education teaching provision in allocated Primary Schools.
  • Provide continued professional development by teaching alongside all teaching staff in your allocated Primary Schools.
  • To co-ordinate, develop and deliver a range of Primary School sports competitions, leagues and events.

You will:

  • Be a dynamic and self-motivated Physical Education teacher with Primary teaching experience.
  • Be able to work closely with a team of PE teachers, PE Co-ordinators and teaching staff at your allocated Primary Schools.
  • Be responsible for delivering a range of curriculum based Physical Education teaching, extracurricular teaching and coaching programmes, as well as co-ordinating a range of intra and inter school based sports competitions and events.
  • Be able to work effectively in a team, as well as being able to plan and prioritise your own workloads with minimal supervision will be essential.
