Description
The Netherlands International School (NIS) is an International Primary and Early Years School with approximately 240 students ranging in age from 18 months to 12 years. The school offers a choice of educational instruction in English or Dutch. The stunning and welcoming school grounds are nestled in a quiet leafy suburb of Jakarta. NIS makes use of four curriculums. The Cambridge International Primary Curriculum caters to a vast array of International, English speaking students and the Dutch National Curriculum offers education to Dutch students. These two curriculums are complimented by the International Primary Curriculum (IPC). The school operates with two 'streams' - Dutch speaking and English speaking. Personalised and Individualised Teaching and Learning are crucial to the delivery of our high quality educational programs. In the English speaking Early Years, NIS follows the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum. Early Years teachers and children engage in Play Based and Inquiry Based Teaching and Learning strategies.
Role
NIS is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced year five & six Primary School Teacher to work within our 'English Stream'. Experience with the Cambridge International Primary Curriculum and especially, the International Primary Curriculum (IPC) is preferred. You will be an independent person, capable of working within a strong team environment and should possess a high level of professionalism and work ethic. You will have a minimum of five years teaching experience and be suitably qualified to be registered to teach in your country of residence and be a fluent English speaker. A bachelor's degree in education from an accredited university or college is a minimum requirement.
Benefits
NIS offers a highly competitive salary package, generous housing allowance, health insurance, annual air ticket allowance, a 13th month bonus at the completion of each 12 month period and a 14th month bonus to compensate for superannuation. Employees may choose either a settling allowance or a shipping container upon commencement and cessation of contract.
Contract Details
Initial contract begin September 2014 and is a one year post with the option to extend.
