Cargenbridge Primary School is a semi rural school with 4 classes and a nursery on the outskirts of Dumfries. The school was built recently and therefore provides our pupils and staff with a motivating learning environment.

We are a committed and highly dedicated team looking for someone to join us for a year to work alongside our current P1/2 teacher in a team teach situation.

We need a dynamic and committed teacher who has the ability to teach with enthusiasm in order to motivate pupils. This teacher must have a clear understanding of the issues surrounding teaching and learning and can demonstrate the ability to create a quality learning environment.

We are looking for someone who can work efficiently within a team and in particular be able to work closely with another teacher to plan and implement the curriculum.

Good communication skills will therefore be essential. Someone with experience and understanding of early level would also be beneficial.

Our pupils are hard working and play an active role in the ongoing improvement of our school. Parents are heavily involved in a range of different opportunities within the school. Our school motto is working together learning together.

This is a temporary post for a period of up to one year
