Salaries will be in accordance with the Scheme of Salaries and Conditions of Service for Teaching Staff in School Education.

Oxgangs Primary School is a non-denominational school serving the Colinton Mains, Craiglockhart and Firrhill areas of South Edinburgh. Since April 2005 we have been located in new premises built under the PPP scheme. The school has a current roll of 387 children in P1-7 organised into 16 classes. 

The nursery class has 40 pupils in the morning and 40 in the afternoon. We also have provision for 2 year olds in our nursery.

A full time teacher is required for maternity cover and will initially be teaching a Primary 4 class.

This post is fixed term until 23 December 2015 and considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by the City of Edinburgh Council.
