Located just south of Adelaide's city centre at the foot of the Mt Lofty Ranges, Scotch College is an R-12 co-educational day and boarding school affiliated with the Uniting Church of Australia.

 The College enrols approximately 1000 students, including 100 boarders, across two campuses (Mitcham Campus and Torrens Park Campus), an environmental educational facility on Kangaroo Island and a remote Outdoor Education facility in the Spencer Gulf.

The College has long been an innovator and leader in many aspects of education including well-established focuses on ICT and student wellbeing. Since 1993 Scotch has had a 1-1 laptop program at Torrens Park Campus, and in recent years has introduced a comprehensive Positive Education learning program.

With the announcement of Mr Tim Oughton's appointment as Executive Principal of the Kristin School in NZ, the Scotch Council now seeks a new Principal from 2015. Mr Oughton has been an inspirational leader at Scotch for eight years, and his legacy is a cohesive, flourishing and forward-focused community.

The new Principal of Scotch College will be the next custodian of a rich legacy of leadership, innovation and community spirit.

Scotch College Adelaide is a mixed, non-selective, independent all-through school with boarding in Australia, serving students from the age of 3-18. The all-through school is situated across two campuses in Mitcham and Torrens Park, South Australia and has approximately 1,000 students on record.

Scotch College Adelaide was founded in 1919. Facilities at the all-through school include a farm, Chapel, heated swimming pool, recording studio, computer suites and 11 tennis courts. The school welcomes international students and non-English speakers, running the Culture and Language Immersion Program (CLIP) for them to settle into life at the school and country.
