We intend our next Principal to be an exceptional individual who can demonstrate both existing achievement and inspiration, as we continue to develop the College to maximise its impact in the local economy.

The Challenge

The College is currently being led by an Interim Principal through a period of demanding changes as it works with the FE Commissioner to review its curriculum, rapidly improve standards of teaching, learning and assessment and addresses long term financial stability.

The College is now seeking a Principal and Chief Executive who will lead the College to become an outstanding College over the longer term. This is an exciting time for a candidate with ambition, passion, and drive to shape the mission and strategy of Stockport College for the future and for the benefit of our students and local employers.

The Person

Our new Principal will have:

• recent proven senior leadership experience in driving major changes in the FE sector
• the ability to communicate their vision of excellence
• the ability to exploit opportunities for the gain of the College and its learners
• the ability to develop and maintain strategic relationships with stakeholders
