The Lighthouse Harmonize Education Trust has recently been successful in its application to run an Alternative Provision Free School from September 2012.

Harmonize Academy is one of only five Alternative Provision Free Schools across the country opening this year. Our exciting new 13 -18 establishment will give young people a vision for life, helping them achieve academic qualifications whilst gaining the skills required to succeed in work. The school will be a beacon of excellence providing smaller class sizes, a rich and exciting seven-day curriculum, high expectations with no excuses for poor attainment, all within an inclusive and caring environment with a strong Christian Ethos and values based on respect. We will cater for about 100 pupils, have a specialism in Urban Arts and be based in the Anfield area of the city near to Liverpool Football Club.

We seek someone with drive and vision who will motivate pupils, parents and staff to achieve the highest levels of teaching and learning. The school is in a deprived part of North Liverpool; so this is a real chance for you to make a difference. You should have a proven record of raising pupils' standards across the whole curriculum, successful work within alternative provision and share our goal of developing something remarkable. This is a hugely exciting opportunity for a self-starter to help shape a new learning environment for the city and sub-region focused on excellence and employability.
