Principal Designate

Akaal Primary School is scheduled to open in September 2015, subject to the final approval of the Secretary of State. It will have 420 places for primary aged pupils between 4 and 11 years old. The school will open with two forms in each of the Reception year and Year 1, and will reach its full capacity by 2021.

You will be responsible for much of the pre-opening planning of the school and for growing the school from its first intake to capacity.

We welcome applications from persons from all backgrounds, although we expect the successful candidate to have an understanding of and sympathy with the Sikh faith.

Essentially, we are looking for someone with drive, ambition and vision, who understands our ethos and core values and can work with the brand new Akaal Academy Trust Derby and with parents and the community to build a team, delivering the highest standards and meeting the needs of all pupils.
