An exceptional opportunity to lead a new 11-18 free school for girls in Luton.

Luton Girls' Academy aims to be an outstanding secondary school in Luton. Opening in September 2015, we need an inspirational leader to turn our vision into a reality.

This is an exciting opportunity for a remarkable leader with passion and the necessary drive, determination and skill to develop an outstanding school.

This will be a unique and rewarding opportunity to establish a new school through exceptional leadership, to really make a difference to the lives of young women and to the local community.

The successful candidate will be:

  • Committed to delivering excellence in teaching & learning and leadership
  • Passionate about character formation and our specialism
  • Experienced in developing school improvement strategies to raise standards for all
  • Committed to working with the trust and in partnership with parents

Our initial surveys from local parents demonstrate a high level of demand for the places at the free school. We are planned to open in September 2015 subject to final approval from the Secretary of State.

We expect the successful candidate to lead the implementation of the Academy vision and ensure that the Academy successfully materialises in line with the DfE's timeframe.

The Academy is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All successful appointments are subject to a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Enhanced check.
