Bradford is amongst one of the largest authorities in the country with a rising population and is proud of its outstanding partnership working and the drive and enthusiasm to raise standards.

The Educational Psychology service is well respected and well established. The service contributes to the identification and assessment of almost 3,000 children who have special educational needs. The service is actively involved in converting practice to convert statements of special educational needs into educational health and care plans, taking into account the needs of children and their families. Recently in response to changing governance of schools and opportunities arising from the Children & Families Act (2014) the service has begun to offer bespoke work packages with schools and this has provided the opportunity for reinvestment and development of the service.

The post holder is a member of the Access & Inclusion Senior Management Team and well placed to influence policy and practice with regard to the delivery of services to children and young people who have special needs.

We need a qualified and experienced, forward thinking individual to take the service to the next stage of development.
