This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and skilled school improvement professional to join the Education Service within the Tri-borough Children's Services Department. As part of the School Standards team, you will have a lead service role in building effective partnerships with schools, implementing the framework for school improvement, and taking forward key strategic priorities.

You will also have a significant contribution to make towards getting the best from colleagues and maintaining a positive and solution focused approach to addressing school standards matters, through responsibilities you will have for line managing staff and working in partnership with colleagues from across Children's Services.

The Tri-borough Education Service works across three high performing boroughs - The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, Hammersmith and Fulham and Westminster City Council and is committed to working in partnership with headteachers and governors to maintain the highest educational standards and provision for children and young people. There are three principal lead adviser positions within the service overseeing standards in each of the boroughs and reporting to the Assistant Director, School Standards. As one of these principal lead advisers, a key responsibility of this role will be overseeing progress and standards in schools in the City of Westminster.

You will have substantial experience of leading improvements in school standards, an ability to take on significant responsibilities within the service, and a good knowledge of and commitment to the wider priorities of Children's Services. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to produce clear evaluative reports on standards and provision. You will also have good school partnership skills and will be able to provide high levels of support and challenge to schools.
