Job overview

We are a higher education institute co-founded in the late 90s by Sir Paul McCartney and Mark Featherstone-Witty (our current Principal). Our aim? To provide learning for a sustained career in the performing arts.

The government has recently approved our bid to start a Sixth Form College, opening in September 2015, on our central Liverpool campus, which is why we are looking for our first Principal.

We are looking for an inspiring leader with excellent management skills for both staff and our creative and performing arts curriculum.

Our commitment to performing arts goes back to the mid 80s when we provided the vision that led to the creation of The BRIT School in London and then the Orminston Academy in Birmingham.

We are working in collaboration with Edge Hill University, consistently ranked 'outstanding' for teacher training.

For more details and an application pack, please contact Kerry Whittaker by email: recruit@lipa.ac.uk or call: 0151 330 3095.

Closing date: 24th July 2014.

LIPA, a registered charity no. 1001565, is committed to diversity and has policies and development programmes in place to promote equality of opportunity. We accordingly welcome applications from both disabled and ethnic minority candidates.
