Job overview

We are seeking to appoint a dedicated and inspirational Principal.

At this key time in the academy's development we require an ambitious, determined and committed individual to secure further positive outcomes for our young people, staff, families, schools and the wider community. Through strong leadership, enthusiasm for learning and the ability to inspire and motivate others as a role model, you will harness the key strengths and energy of the academy. This post will provide opportunities to establish innovative ways of leading and managing learning as well as allowing the development of creative approaches and solutions which will further raise standards and create a climate of success for everyone.

Visits to the academy are welcome.

About Melior Community Academy

Melior Community Academy is a coeducational secondary school located in Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire. The Academy opened in January 2013 for students aged 11-16.

We are a fully inclusive Academy with a distinctively warm ethos. Learning is at the heart of everything that we do. High achievement is expected and success celebrated. At Melior you can expect a culture of ‘child centeredness’, challenge and high expectations in order to help students reach their full potential.

The school has recently been rebuilt and facilities are excellent, located within easy commuting distance of the main urban areas this is a great place to work.
