Are you a successful Headteacher or an experienced school improvement professional with an effective track record of whole school improvement? Do you have a proven ability of leading and/or supporting improvements in one or more school?

If so, then we need you to join the School Effectiveness Service in Rotherham to help us deliver our school improvement mission which is: all students making at least good progress; no underperforming cohorts; all teachers delivering at least good learning; and all schools moving to at least the next level of successful performance.

The role will provide you with a unique opportunity to support school improvements across Rotherham drawing on strengths already in our schools as well as outstanding practice regionally and nationally to further improve outcomes for our children and young people. In addition it will provide you with a chance to implement new thinking, work closely with schools to identify their needs and devise programmes of improvement.

As an influential leader with a background in education you will be articulate and motivated and have the proven credibility to build relationships and partnerships to drive this key agenda.

A permanent, full-time contract is available as well as other flexible hours and contracts. A secondment will be considered but if you wish to apply on this basis you should seek the necessary approval from your current employer prior to making an application.

Applications from people from Black and Minority Ethnic Communities and Disabled People are welcomed as under-representation currently exists at this level within the organisation. Section 159 of the Equality Act 2010 applies.
