WKRS is a non-maintained special school for pupils with complex education needs, many with communication problems. There are currently over 90 co-educational day and residential pupils on roll aged 6-18. The school has achieved outstanding OFSTED school reports since 2004 along with outstanding OFSTED care reports and holds Silver Investors in People Status.

The post becomes vacant when Gareth Williams OBE retires in August 2015 after a distinguished career. The Directors and Governors of this non-maintained special school on the beautiful Wirral peninsula are looking for a Principal with the ambition to build on its national reputation for excellence and achievement across a range of complex conditions.

The School has achieved The Autism Accreditation this year and is recognised as a Dyslexia Friendly School, has been awarded International School and holds the Governor Mark status.

The successful candidate will have the vision and leadership qualities required to guide the School through change and to represent it in the wider community.

A relocation package and enhanced salary will be considered for outstanding candidates.
