An able and experienced British educator is required for a long-term home schooling assignment. This role ideally starts September 1st 2014 but could potentially start in January 2015, or at some point between these dates. This role involves tutoring two American boys, ages 5 and 7 across the full British curriculum.

The Tutor will be responsible for devising a rich curriculum, including educational trips and other stimulating activities as appropriate. The importance of formal lesson-based education is recognised, but this should not be the primary mode of teaching. It is essential that the Tutor plan their timetable to include some one-on-one time for boys every day.

The Tutor must be a bright, fun, intellectual teacher that will allow the children's free spirit to grow, whilst at the same time being firm enough to ensure that appropriate boundaries are set and maintained. The Tutor must also be organised, self-reliant, and independent. The successful applicant will be responsible for establishing a reward system for the children to incentivise good behaviour.

The Tutor should be able to teach a foreign language. Spanish is preferred, but French would be a suitable alternative. The possibility of teaching early years Latin would also be welcomed.

This role requires a Tutor who is highly flexible and able to adapt their plans to changes at short notice. He or she will need to develop a curriculum and resources that are truly portable and will be responsible for ensuring that all the required materials are transported as required.

The Tutors will work with the students for up to 40 hours per week.

Furnished accommodation is provided. This role includes extensive travel.
