Jersey's educational system is broadly aligned with education in England and Wales, but with a distinct approach to school accountability. Our system of school development and evaluation aspires to achieve the highest outcomes for children and young people, based on a partnership model with school leaders. Our team work as both Professional Advisors to schools and as Professional Partners validating school self-evaluation. As senior professionals, the team work across all phases and the Island's community of schools.
This role requires strong inter-personal, social and communication skills; strategic and analytical thinking and the insight and drive to make a real difference to outcomes for students. The successful post holder will have a strong and successful track record of achievement in the areas of school leadership, inspection services and advisory work at a local or national level.
This is an excellent opportunity to make a significant difference to the education service and inform education policy across the Island of Jersey.
