Cambridge Assessment, in conjunction with Cambridge University Press, are currently recruiting for a Programme Manager in Maths. The role purpose is to compile and deliver the programme of work required to support the realisation of the Cambridge Maths Group's collective vision for Cambridge Maths; from agreeing outputs, budgets and timelines with multiple stakeholders through to project planning, reporting and delivery.

Programme Manager, Maths is a new and exciting role reporting into Cambridge Assessment and delivering on behalf of all stakeholder organisations involved in Cambridge Maths, including Cambridge University Press. There is capacity for the job holder to significantly influence the scope and remit of this role as the vision for Cambridge Maths unfolds.

The person

To be suitable for this role you will be experienced in a number of areas, including having:

  • A track record of matrix management within a complex organisation
  • Delivered a programme of work as the Programme manager
  • An understanding of what it means to work in a regulated environment
  • Experience in development, implementation and on-going review of strategy
  • Knowledge of different pedagogical approaches
  • A proven track record of effective collaborative engagement with partners of significant standing
  • Experience of managing cultural differences or handling sensitive situations
  • Experience of working with individuals at the highest levels in different types of organisation including politicised organisations
  • A degree and a relevant professional qualification are important. Having a passion for Maths and Maths education would be beneficial.
